Blue Bell Cottage is a beautiful rural self catering accommodation located in the heart of the Bluestack Mountains which is very close to the vibrant town of Donegal in County Donegal. This traditional thatched cottage can create a forgotten era where sleeping under a thatched roof was a regular occurrence. The rural home has all the internal features of an authentically modern home but still retains the classic external characteristics of an original Irish cottage.

Directions

As you leave Donegal town, take the road to Letterbarrow. The cottage is located 9km past the Mill Park Hotel.

Please contact premises owner at least 2 days prior to arrival for key collection.

Description

There are two bedrooms in the property, the master bedroom is upstairs and has an en suite with a bath. There is a separate spacious bathroom downstairs with a shower and the kitchen is very stylish and functional. The holiday rental has some fantastic vistas of the Blue Stack Mountains from inside and out. Blue Bell Cottage is not very far from the beautiful Donegal town where you can enjoy a well earned shopping spree in the elegant boutiques and craft shops. Donegal Castle is well worth visiting and considering it was the historic home of the famous O' Donnell clan there is some very interesting history attached to it. If you want to get out of the busy town, there are numerous scenic drives where you will discover the impressive, serene and ever lasting beauty of the Northwest countryside. Why not just travel a little further south to Bundoran and experience the thrill of harnessing the power of the wind and the waves as you surf the boisterous Atlantic Ocean.

Family with kids

Mr and Mrs Boyle were very welcoming and did their best to make us feel at home! In fact they really succeeded! The cottage is a little bit lost in the middle of nowhere but its equipment was worth the stay, especially the dishwasher and the washing machine for two families of 2 kids each!
