Bayside is a family run Four Star Approved Bed & Breakfast, which was established in 1991 and we pride ourselves in offering our customers a home away from home. Situated 5km South of the historic town of Donegal, Bayside overlooks a beautiful inlet of Donegal Bay, its location makes it the perfect holiday base from which to discover the many famous attractions of the North West of Ireland. Located at the mouth of Donegal Bay and surrounded by the vista of the Blue Stack mountains, the area offers a rugged beauty and mystique that you are unlikely to find anywhere else in the world! From Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe to the miles of golden sandy beaches, Donegal provides activities ranging from golf, horse riding, high-octane water sports to unforgettable country strolls.

Car - Bayside Guest Accommodation is 5km South of Donegal Town on the N15 or 8km North of Ballyshannon on the N15. When at Laghey on the N15, you will see a signpost for Bayside. Bayside is 1km from this signpost.

Bus - Donegal Town has both state (CIE) and private operator services to Dublin, Galway and Derry on a daily basis.
Taxi - Numerous taxi and hackney firms operate in Donegal Town, offering services day and night. Bayside is just a short Taxi ride from Donegal Town.
Rail - A mainline train from Dublin serves Sligo, some 40 minutes drive from Donegal Town. A railway service to Belfast is accessible via Derry, some 50 minutes drive from Donegal Town. Onward connections to Dundalk, Drogheda and Dublin are available from Belfast daily.

Fáilte Ireland Irish Welcome Awards - In 2006, 2007 and 2008 Bayside Guest Accommodation was awarded the Irish Tourist Board Certificate of Merit in recognition of being a Nominee in the Irish Welcome Awards for making a 'special contribution to the Irish tourist industry'.
Bayside Guest Accommodation has six ground floor en-suite bedrooms with free on-site parking. Each bedroom is equiped with orthopedic mattress, television, free WiFi Internet, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and an iron is available upon requiest. A family room is available, which is also en-suite, with a double and two single beds. The majority of bedrooms have stunning views of the Donegal countryside.
Donegal Golf Club is only 1km from Bayside B & B, so it makes it the ideal location to stay and catch up on a few rounds of golf while on holidays. Donegal town is a thriving town at the mouth of Donegal Bay. It is surrounded by spectacular vistas of the rugged Blue Stack Mountains and offers visitors to the area numerous interests and activities to pursue.
Take a scenic drive with a difference as you travel through the minor roads along the coastline on The Atlantic Coast route. The beautiful and sometimes lonely route is diverse, breathtaking and unspoilt. The weather is the northwest can be a little bit unpredictable but sometimes this works to your advantage when nature creates picture perfect moments like calming amber sunsets and clear colourful rainbows that stretch across the heather filled mountains.
