One of Ireland's most famous pubs, and also the north's highest. Thanks in part to its unique location atop the Glenshane Pass, this renowned Irish mountain pub enjoys a truly international clientele.

Sign our visitor's book, you'll find yourself amongst distinguished company.
This legendary pub prides itself on its self-sufficiency; we have our turf bank, our own electricity generator and the water supply comes from a spring well in the mountainside. However, don't believe any stories you might have heard about us distilling our own poteen. The thin, clear air we enjoy at this altitude gives you a hearty appetite, and also makes your drink seem stronger!
The immortal air, "Danny Boy/The Londonderry Air" was penned near here. The pub featured in 'Harry's Game' by Gerald Seymour (and several other books). There are mountain and forest walks, golf, fishing, and hang gliding nearby.
Shane Crossagh, a legendary highwayman, held sway and buried his treasure near here. Seamus Heaney (Nobel prize winner) born a few miles from here.
Clientele extends from farmers to journalists and sports people to international travellers! Rugby, gaelic football, hockey and university clubs all visit here regularly.
