This park stretches from the top of Great James Street and is set among acres of greenery which offers a splendid change of scenery from a busy town centre setting. It is only a 5 minute walk from the Guildhall and provides the city with a majestic and tranquil park for all to enjoy. the statue at the foot of the park known locally as the Black Man is that of Sir Robert Alexander Ferguson the first local man to be elected to the House of Commons as MP.
