Youghal is blessed with not just one but two blue flag beaches! These offer miles upon miles of seaside fun! Youghal Strand and Clay Castle are Youghals most popular beaches.
Youghal Strand is renowned for its clean safe waters so if your in Youghal for a swim a trip here is a must! The huge open strand allows loads of room for ball games, sunbathing, jogging and walking. This is located just ¾’s of a mile from Youghal town centre.
Clay Castle is similar to Youghal Strand. The one big difference is that its sands are sloping and you’ll come across a few rocks amidst the sand too. The beach is mostly tidal, but a large area of soft sand, shells and pebbles can be found above the high water mark.
