The Courthouse was built in 1600 and the frontage added in 1706. It was in this courthouse that the Kinsale Town Corporation held their meetings and the court house was also uesd for cermonies 18th century. The Courthouse is now the Kinsale Regional Museum which contains a wealth of exhibits on Kinsale's historic past including a pair of stocks and relics of the Lusitania. There is also a display of the "Kinsale Giant , a man by the name of Patrick Cotter -O'Brien who died in 1806 and was  believed to be over 8 feet tall.
