There is so much to do in this area from golf, boating to fishing, walking and touring the breathtaking scenery, you will be spoiled for choice. The Annex is a detached house on its own grounds with ample private car parking. Its name is rather deceptive. It was originally an annex to a hotel which was situated on separate grounds some distance away and, while the hotel is no longer there, the name “The Annex” just stuck!

The Annex is approximately 3 minutes walk from Glengarriff village where there are pubs, restaurants, hotels, craft shops, gift/clothes shops, supermarket and a post office. There are forest walks, sea, fishing, boating, golf and hill walking nearby. Bike hire and pony trekking are also available nearby.
Famous tourist attraction is Garnish Island which can be visited by boat. The boats leave Glengarriff pier and Poulgorm. It is approximately a 1 mile boat trip in Bantry Bay.
