Erins Own G.A.A Club was founded in 1963 with the amalgamation of the two parish clubs, Knockraha and Little Island. The decision to form the new club was based on a desire to strengthen gaelic games in the parish of Glounthaune by forming one strong unit where two weaker ones previously existed. This club is located in East Cork, about 20 miles east of Cork City. We are currently a Junior Club with adult teams in both Hurling and Football and a very active under-age section down to the age at which they can first hold a hurley or kick a ball (6 months).
