Sandycove house is a modern bungalow located in quiet, peaceful area with superb sea views of cliffs and Atlantic Ocean. Sandycove beach, adjacent (100 metres), is ideal for swimming, fishing, sailing, wind surfing and bird watching. Occasionally whales, dolphin and basking shark are seen in Sandycove Bay. Seals are an every day occurance. Castletownsend village is 3 km away and is one of the most unspoiled and picturesque villages in West Cork. It's steeped in history and the surrounding countryside is dotted with many historic sites.

From Cork city take the N71 to Skibbereen town. From Skibbereen take the R596 to the village of Castletownshend. Before entering the village follow the Coast Rd signpost (for 3km) to Sandycove House. GPS coordinates 51.509790N 9.198550W.
There are 2 pubs in the village including the Egon Ronay listed pub/restaurant Mary Ann's renowned for its seafood. Castletownsend harbour is a haven of tranquility catering for fishing boats and visiting yachts.
