Muskerry Arms

Three Star

Blarney, Blarney, Cork Show on a map

The Muskerry Arms
The Muskerry Arms was established as a small public house in 1838. Named after the Muskerry Tram line, which serviced the village up until 1830, owned by the O'Connor family since 1984. It is personally managed by Nell O'Connor and her sons.
The Muskerry Arms is a family run busy and have entertained many visitors and locals for decades with great food, music & great craic.
After extensive renovations throughout the years we now have an establishment rich in heritage and folklore which continues to be the focal point of Blarney.

We were unable to stay there as our rooms were unavailable due to a bathroom problem. We were given accommodation at a nearby hotel.

On the first evening I discovered a bedside light bulb which did not work. Also no plug in the bathroom sink. As it was a bit late, I did not mention this until the next morning and was assured that these matters would be sorted by the time we got back later that day. When we eventually got back the light bulb had been swapped with the one on the dresing table, so still one not working! The bathroom sink plug had NOT been replaced, so again we had to improvise (using a shower cap). When I complained next day when paying my bill I was told that no bathroom sink plugs were allowed as the insurance company did not allow them. This was surely BLARNEY! I have never heard such a foolish excuse in my life. Will never stay there again.
