There you can explore the Ring of Kerry or you can do the shorter, but less developed, Ring of Beara which straddles the border between Cork and Kerry.
Cork City is located less than 10 kilometres to the north. The night life in the city is very lively throughout the week and the main shopping streets are Patrick Street, Oliver Plunkett Street and Grand Parade, all of which are very accessible and there are plenty multi-storey car parks in the city.
