Description

After changing ownership in 2006, The Fitzgerald family and Michael Magner have transformed the hotel with a €7million investment, resulting in the construction of a new banqueting suite, eight, four-star holiday villas, and restoration of the original mansion and hotel complex and investment in delivery of service.

Fitzgerald’s Vienna Woods Hotel & Holiday Villas – Cork, is now one of Cork's most charming hotels, where each guest is welcomed with warm Irish hospitality that Ireland is famous for.

The Vienna Woods Hotel is located on an elevated site overlooking Glanmire. Take a left at the dual carriageway roundabout. The hotel is located on the left of this road.
It’s just 7 minutes drive from vibrant Cork City Centre and less than a mile from the Jack Lynch Tunnel.

Hotel History
Vienna Woods Hotel Cork was originally built by Davis Ducart in 1765 as a Regency design and it began its days as Lota Lodge on a large parcel of land surrounding Lota Beg. Following a great fire in 1905, Sharmon Crawford rebuilt the house.

Sharmon was the nephew of William Heratio Crawford who was famous in Cork and who has given his name t o many of the city's institutions including the Crawford Art Gallery and the Crawford College of Art. These were the Crawford's of famous Cork brewers Beamish & Crawford trading in the city since 1792. Following Crawford's reign, Lota lodge was purchased by the brothers of Charity in 1964 and was where they trained Seminarians for 13 years. In 1964 the old house was turned into a hotel by Joan Shubuek.

Fitzgerald's Vienna Woods hotel has 50 bedrooms, 13 of which are located in the original mansion overlooking the Glashaboy estuary. 30 bedrooms are in the in the newly extended part of the hotel along with 4 mini suites for any special occasion. Included as standard in all rooms are ensuite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, internet access, trouser press and hairdryer.
All rates for hotel accommodation include Full Irish Buffet Breakfast.
Check in time is at 4.00pm (16.00hrs) on the day of arrival.
Check out time is at 12.00 noon (12.00hrs) on the day of departure.

Delux Bedroom:
Comfortable and Spacious guestrooms, that are warmly decorated, each offering a double and single bed. Each room i complete with Direct Dial telephone, Tea/Coffee Making facilities, Multi Channel TV. The en suite guestroom offers Bath and Shower over bath facilities.
All Rates for Deluxe Guestroom include Full Irish Buffet Breakfast.
Additional facilities for young families can also be supplied such as Travel Cots, Mini Fridges and extra Beds.

Encased in history, Crawford's lounge is situated within the main Mansion, the name is derived from the famous Beamish and Crawford Brewers, where the Crawford family lived here from 1905 until 1964. Crawford's lounge offers guests all the comforts of a modern hotel with food and beverage available all day, while savoring the architecture and decoration of a 19th century building.
Crawford's a la carte menu runs from 12.30pm until 9.30pm daily, it offers an array of Irish and international dishes, which cater for the wide cultural palate now very much part of a modern Ireland. Special requests will always be entertained, with the ethos of flexibility and the knowledge that each staff member in the hotel is encouraged to never use the word "no" to a guest.
