Facilities were up to date within an old world environmnet - very soothing!
We were very happy with everything.Front desk staff was especially helpfull and friendly. Rooms were beautifully made up.The ONLY complaint was that the waitress that served us at dinner had a very poor command of english.She did not fit in with the rest of the eccellent standards of the hotel.Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and has allready recomended it to others.
Window handles broken, hard to close window. Lot of noise from bar area under window, children kicking footballs on car park. Bar meals good. TV reception poor. OK hotel for one night.

Many thanks for brining these issues to our attention. We have since rectified the problems. If we had known at the time, they would have been addressed straight away, as we have maintenance personnel on site 6 days a week.
With regards to the children playing in the car park, we are a child friendly hotel and would not be at liberty to tell them to refrain from playing football, particularly as we were unaware that they were causing any disturbance to guests in the hotel.
Overall the break was very good but if I was to fault it on anything it would be that there wasn`t really any facilities for the kids.

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size, tidy and comfortable. Bathroom was well fitted out. Would suggest providing somewhere for towels to dry in the bathroom as that was lacking. The setting is wonderful.
