Established 1970 "East cork set amidst beautiful scenery is parkland golf at it’s best with its first hole having the reputation of the toughest starting hole in Munster" The club was founded in 1968 when Eamonn Moloney decided to evict his prize dairy herd and convert his farm into a golf course. He enlisted the aid of Eddie Hackett, one of Ireland's foremost golf architects, to carry out the design and Ned Moran, a local site-development contractor, to build the course. The original nine-hole course was opened in November 1969. Extension to eighteen holes was completed in 1975. The course has now matured into one of the most attractive and challenging parklands in the country; new members and visitors are always made welcome.
