In House Entertainment
In House Entertainment
Johnny, the owner, is the in-house entertainment throughout your stay. His array of talents range from Seanchai story telling, to playing the accordion, he’s an avid history buff whether it’s local or national and he’s also an expert at archaeology and playing bridge. You won’t be ill informed with hosts of this calibre at your disposal while on holidays here in County Cork.
Places to See
The best way to appreciate the beauty of the area is with an exhilarating walk around Sheeps Head Way and lucky for you it goes right by the house. The scenery at any time of the day is unforgettable and it’s also a great way to meet the locals. If walking isn’t really your thing, then hop in the car and take a variety of scenic drives such as Mizzen and Beara Peninsula as well as enchanting Garnish Island.
For the golfing enthusiast there is a wide variety of exceptional golf course in Bantry and Glengarriff to get a hole in one. For the visiting fishermen, the property has the added advantage of owning their own fishing and sailing boats as well as access to game from the shoreline of the farm.
The Bantry Mussel Fair is held in May and makes a great day out for all the family, young and old alike. Bantry has something for all ages, from lively entertainment and music to an array of things to see and do and don’t forget the great cuisine on offer in the local restaurants. It’s all here waiting for you – go on, you deserve a break!
