Established in 1954 to develop choral music in Ireland, the Choral Festival has become a major competition stage for choirs from overseas and at home. This festival offers the national competitions, gala concerts, fringe concerts, church performances and public performances as well as plenty more. The Festival's prestigious Fleischmann International Trophy Competition is held in high regard across Europe and is definitely an event to take your breath away. Each year it brings together some of the finest choirs to perform in Cork's City Hall. It is a meeting place for choirs from different countries and backgrounds.
