The charming village of Castletownshend is only 2 km from the holiday rental. Even in the picturesque village you are still steeped in history Castlehaven Castle built in 1601 and the locals claim to have the oldest pub in Ireland! Just 8km away from Burchill is the popular town of Skibbereen. Depending on the time of year you arrive there, Skibbereen has a host of fun festivals to keep you entertained such as the West Cork Walking Festival or the Skibbereen Children’s Festival. Golfing can be enjoyed at the local golf club and angling on the River Ilen is also very popular. Owner lives on site.

From Skibbereen take the Castletownsend Road for 4 miles to Castlehaven cross roads. Take a right turn at the C&C Joinery and it is the fifth house on the left with ranch type fencing.
