is a family run B&B with its own bar. It is perfectly situated with spectacular views of the ocean and unspoilt coast line. Directions to blue horizon
The Blue Horizon is easily found by passing through Cork City and on past the airport. Stay on the R600 through Kinsale and onto Ballinspittle. Once you exit Ballinspittle, get off the R600 and follow signs for Garretstown. Blue Horizon should also be signed here, when you reach the sea, turn right up the hill. The Blue Horizon is the first two storey building on the sea front.
Rooms
The rooms within the Blue Horizon provide excellent views of the sea. Some have balconies that provide magnificent views of the bay and the Old Head Golf Links.
Also included in these large ensuite rooms is a TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
Facilities
The Blue Horizon has its own licensed bar which provides nightly musical entertainment from local musicians, and travelling musicians are always welcome. The bar is popular with locals and tourists alike and the atmosphere is great craic when joined with a pint of Guinness, a chat or a few songs.
The patio is the perfect place to enjoy your beer as you over look the bay.

The Blue Horizon overlooks the bay that stretches for 11 miles of beautiful Irish coastline. In the west there is the seven heads and the east features the famous Old Head of Kinsale where the Lusitania sank in 1915. Also in the bay are two blue flag beaches, with tennis courts, pitch n’ putt and several picnic areas. It is also the ideal location for angling, surfing, swimming or simple relaxation.
Within 10kms
Deep sea angling is available nearby as are some bus tours that are worth a try. The Ghost Trails Historical Monuments and other historical walking tours are very much a special treat for these areas; the home of Micheal Collins and the site of his ambush are near by. The Old Head Golf Links are world famous, but there are also other golf courses nearby as is Fota Wildlife Park and a model railway in Clonakilty.
