On the boundary of Cork and Kerry, amidst 10 acres of award winning flower gardens, sheltered lawns and parkland, bordered by sea, river, and mountains overlooking majestic Bantry Bay, stands Ballylickey Manor House. It was built some 300 years ago as a shooting lodge by Lord Kenmare. Ballylickey has been the home of the Franco-Irish Graves family for many years.
A short walk from the main house brings you to the summer restaurant, The Rendezvous Restaurant, and its adjoining sitting room bar and the nearby garden cottages. The Rendezvous Restaurant is much praised and highly recommended for an evening out.
Ballylickey, an ideal centre from which to tour the beautiful south-west of Ireland, also offers private trout and salmon fishing in the park, a heated outdoor swimming pool and golf courses nearby.
