Stay at a beautiful holiday village by a freshwater lake renowned for its trout fishing and outdoor activity centre. The houses are nestled in mature gardens in one corner of a 36-acre complex. Each four-bed property oozes distinction and character, being larger than most holiday homes and set in a tranquil location that is perfect for long summer evenings on the deck having a BBQ or in the green areas away from the distractions of daily life. The kitchen leads to an open-plan dining area overlooking the lakes.  The living room is spacious with an open fire and wooden floor detail.  Each rooms are furnished to a high standard with many touches that will make you feel at home. The design of the houses maximises natural light, creating a true outdoors living feel.  In addition to the ensuite master bedroom, there is a large family bathroom and a downstairs WC.  This house sleeps seven people, with one ensuite double, two twin rooms (2 single beds in each room), and one single Room.

Directions

From Mallow, proceed to take the N72. At the sign for Longueville House take a right. Travel for approximately 7km and go straight through the village of Cecilstown. Ballyhass Lakes Holiday Homes are located 0.6 miles from the village.

Within Walking Distance

Cecilstown is just half a mile down the road from the holiday cottages. It’s a typical Irish village offering an assortment of friendly pubs and welcoming restaurants. Partake in the traditional music sessions or just sit back and watch with delight the ceile dancing. Of course, since the River Blackwater is close by, some game fishing might be just what you are looking for.

Within 10kms

Mallow is a wonderful market town located along the Blackwater Valley. From here you are with close proximately to a selection of top class tourist destinations. Cork City, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry are all within a thirty-minute drive of the holiday rentals and make great day trips.
Of course, walking and cycling are popular pastimes in Mallow and there’s no better way to appreciate the countryside than with a revitalising walk along the Blackwater Way route. Needless to say, Blarney Castle and Fota Wildlife Park are well worth visiting. And for the golfer, then there are several challenging golf courses scattered throughout the county.

During July and up to the second  week of August, summer camps for kids between 9 and 16 are held daily and weekly at an extra charge to be paid locally. Activities include kayaking, raft building, archery, rock climbing, angling and much more. Residents can avail of special prices on summer camps. All these activities can be provided for groups of 6 or more at any time of the year. Ideal for family get-togethers, birthdays, hens, and stags, for all age groups that want a healthy outdoor challenge. Anglers can fish for trout in 14 acres of lakes, with both salmon and trout fishing on the adjacent backwater (where boats are reserved).
In the immediate area, the towns of Kanturk and Mallow offer shopping and restaurants. Both towns offer golf, and there are three other courses in the area. Horse riding, hill-walking, mountain biking, heritage and garden trails are all available to the visitor. Local bars offer traditional music and even ceili dancing at the crossroads! In addition, each house has its own patio/BBQ area - perfect for a summer evening of al-fresco dining and cooking.

The four bedroom properties are fully furnished to a high standard. The interior of the homes consists of one double bedroom with en-suite facilities, two twin rooms and one single room. There is also a separate bathroom and downstairs toilet.
The fully equipped kitchen leads out onto the spacious and bright dining area that overlooks the lakes. The living room has beautifully crafted wooden floors throughout and also has an open fire for romantic nights in.

The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, hob, and microwave. The homes are also equipped with a DVD and TV. There is ample parking around the holiday cottages.
For your convenience and enjoyment, Ballyhass Lakes Holiday Homes have boats and fishing gear available for rent. For beginners, there is a separate lake where you can practice or fishing lessons can be arranged. A complimentary welcome pack will greet you on arrival to the cottages. Bed linen is provided.
