Welcome to Ballycotton
Situated on a cliff 26 miles (42 km) south-east of Cork city.
This fishing village looks out over the wide inlet of Ballycotton Bay.
In front is a steep island crowned by a lighthouse, and between this island and the village is the sheltered, boat-filled little harbour.
For centuries fishermen have worked the plentiful bay off Ballycotton.
