ballinspittle blue flag beaches

Ballinspittle lies around 8km from Kinsale. I think its true to say that its blue flag beaches cause almost as much of a stir as the villages moving statues do!
Ballinspittle is home to not one but two blue flag beaches. You’ll find Garretstown is just a short drive from Ballinspittle. It is a sandy beach located on the R604 road, adjacent to ‘The Old Head of Kinsale’.
Just up the road from Garretstown is blue flag beach number 2; Garrylucas. You’ll find sand dunes here and it’s a great hit with the kids!
Public parking and toilets are provided adjacent to both beaches and lifeguards are on duty throughout the bathing season. Access to beaches is by ramps and steps. They are also wheelchair accessible.
