An Cuasan Country home is located 6 miles west of the lively market town of Macroom in County Cork. This property offers spacious and comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation, surrounded by rugged coutryside and peaceful farmland.
There are six guest bedrooms in total, five of which are en suite. Outside there are lovely landscaped gardens and if you're bringing the car there's plenty off road parking. After a good nights rest a tasty traditional Irish breakfast (with lots of home baking) is served each morning.

An Cuasan is located in a Gaeltacht area, one of the few areas in Ireland where Irish (the native tongue) is still spoken, and is even spoken in this house. This is also an ideal spot from where to explore both Cork and Kerry, many of the counties main tourist attractions are within easy reach such as, Cork City, Blarney, Cobh, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry.
An Cuasan is situated on the N22, 9km west of Marcroom town, 5km east of Ballyvourney village. We are within one hour’s drive of Ringaskiddy ferry port and Cork Airport, 30 minutes drive from Millstreet train station and 45 minutes from Kerry Airport.
There are regular bus services from both Marcroom and Ballyvourney.

There are six bedrooms in this house, 5 of which are ensuite. Two rooms are on the ground floor. Some of the rooms have spectacular views over the mature garden and across the valley beyond.
All rooms are bright, airy and very comfortably decorated with ample storage space.
Hair dryers are provided.

An Cuasan is set in one acre of landscaped garden with contain a great variety of flowers and shrubs with a backdrop of mature woodlands, a beautiful spot to sit and relax in the warm sun.
Each morning guests are served a traditional home cooked Irish breakfast, with plenty of home baking.
There is a television lounge and a spacious conservatory for guests use. Ample private parking is provided as well as a patio area with tables and seating where tea is served, weather permitting of course.

Next door to An Cuasan is the unique Coolavokig Pottery where a woodfired kiln is used to fire the pots. Nearby are some quiet country walks where, on a summer evening you may encounter rabbits, foxes, hedgehogs and perhaps even wild deer.

In Ballyvourney and Macroom there are a number of high quality restaurants, and pubs that provide good company and great traditional Irish music sessions. Macroom is the perfect location for touring both Cork and Kerry. It's situated along the busy N22 between Cork city and Killarney. A variety of outdoor activities are popular here – there's angling on the Sullane River and if you're into your golf Macroom Golf Club is close at hand.
