The Ambassador Hotel is located close to the centre of vibrant Cork city. The hotel exudes luxury and elegance and this is apparent as soon as you walk through the doors. It sits on quiet grounds overlooking some breathtaking views of Cork city, the River Lee and harbour.

The hotel was built in 1872. It was previously a Military Hospital and then occupied as a nursing home. Since it first opened its doors as a hotel in 1997, it has become a very popular place to stay.

This Victorian hotel has a restaurant and two popular bars to choose from. It also has a Health Centre with a fully equipped Gym, Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna.

The unique architecture has been restored beautifully and transformed into the luxurious and modern hotel we know today as the Ambassador Hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the main shopping district and areas of cultural interest. Once you have discovered the superb accommodation, personal attention to detail, excellent service and top class cuisine that is offered at the Ambassador, you are sure to return again and again.

From Dublin/Waterford/Kilkenny
When you reach Cork City, keep an eye out for The Moran Silver Springs Hotel. Travel onto the flyover, opposite this hotel and continue on the road for North Ring/Limerick. About halfway up the hill take a left at the first set of traffic lights. Take the next left after the Garda Station and continue on this road for about 1.5 miles until you reach St Luke’s junction –green kiosk. Continue straight though this junction onto Wellington Road and take the second right - watch out for the sign. The Ambassador Hotel is on the right hand side.

From Blarney/Limerick/Shannon Airport
On approach to Cork, you will see a sign for Dublin/North Ring Road – take this road. Continue along this route for about 2 miles. Take a right turn at Ballyvolane Dunnes Stores Shopping Centre and follow the signs for the city centre. At the second junction (St. Luke’s Cross) take a right turn onto Wellington Road and then take the second right - watch out for the sign. The Ambassador Hotel is on the right hand side.

Rooms

The spacious elegant corridors lead to 70 beautiful en-suite guest rooms. Beautifully decorated and very spacious, they are equipped to the highest standard and are furnished with Satellite TV, complimentary WiFi, telephone, modem links, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, trouser press and of course complimentary tea/coffee facilities. What more could you need?

Some of the bedrooms are south facing and even have a balcony so you can take full advantage of the astounding views of Cork City.
