Spacious rooms with flat screen tv's & internet access. Attentive & efficient reception staff,lovely choice of food & drinks in the bar; excellent breakfast. We only stayed for one night & as we were leaving, staff in the bar were setting out a lovely Sunday lunch.
Had lovely bar food and reception staff were helpful. I liked the way at night you had to use room card to access the halls.
Oakwood Arms was fine - breakfast (continental) was available from 05:00 in the dining room, served promptly. Would recommend this as an ideal, close to airport hotel.
The door to our room didn't close properly, and the room smelled of smoker, i.e. that it had been used by a smoker (or smokers). As I was travelling with a small child I didn't appreciate that I must say. Otherwise it was a good value stay, and the breakfast was very good. The alarm call worked and the taxi arrived on time, which was good. I would stay here again.
We were very pleased with the hotel and staff. We did not have any problems at all.
The service was excellent, best of all was being served by a lovely lady who understood exactly what we were talking about.
Oakwood Arms was chosen because of short distance to airport. Our one night stay was very pleasant. The front desk staff was extremely accomodating, the bar staff was friendly and the restaurant staff was friendly and efficient - all while handling a 300 party wedding reception.
Restaurant service was excellent in every way. A little more vegetarian choice would have been appreciated, but the food was superbly cooked. The hotel has a certain old-world grandure & is delightfully spacious with really interesting photographs & posters on display. The only caveat would be that the taxi booked to take me to the airport didn't turn up. The problem seems to have been at the taxi firm's end of the process, but it was just as well I had packed some lee-way into the booking time!

I was very impressed with the qaulity of the hotel. Liked the decor, thouhgt the timberwork and fittings were really good. Staff wer very helpful. Food was good. Left to catch a 7.00 am flight. Was most impressed that I got a Continenal Breakfast at 5a.m.
I would have absolutely no problem in recommending this hotel to anyone. It was simply gorgeous. The room was lovely and comfortable, the bar and food was lovely. Staff were mannerly and polite. The guinness according to my partner was like heaven!!!!! Was only passing through so didnt get to see any local amenieties but I will be back if I'm in the area again!
