Welcome to Naturequest Lodge, an elegant 4 star self-catering accommodation located in the heart of the beautiful Loop Head Peninsula close to the town of Kilkee in County Clare. The cottages are on the fringes of Poulnasheery Bay offering awe-inspiring scenery.There are three charming cottage, each with two bedrooms that can sleep up to four people with ease. They are spacious and extremely comfortable with little extras such as under-floor heating as well as use of an indoor heated pool available in high season, games room and a wildlife library.
Naturequest Lodge is equipped with facilities for exploring the varied wildlife of Loop Head’s farmland and tidal wetland. It’s the perfect place for bird watching enthusiasts as this location is one of Europe’s top bird migration spots.
Guests to the cottages are encouraged to take part in field trips and a range of activities lead by experience naturalists. From these you will learn about the wildlife of Loop Head Peninsula – their migration habits, their homes, their young and their food sources. The owners of the cottages, Eugene and Felicity O’Kelly do their utmost to offer a high standard of service to each of their guests.

Naturequest Lodge is situated at Blackweir Bridge, just 500m from the main Kilrush to Kilkee Road. Take a left a Lisdee Church and the cottages are 0.5km on your right hand side. The holiday rentals are just 4.8km from Kilkee and just 8km from Kilrush

Each of the cottages is individually furnished with unique fixtures and fittings. They have large windows that allow sunlight to stream through the house. The fully fitted kitchen consists of cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Complimentary washing machine, dryer and iron are available in the laundry.
The bedrooms are upstairs, each of them have full en-suite facilities. Heating and electricity is included in the price and bed linen and towels are provided free during your stay.

As well as the contemporary amenities in the cottage, the property also provides little extras such as telescopes and binoculars. On site games rooms with gym machines, pool table and football games table will keep the younger members of the family entertained. Take a dip in the 10-meter indoor heated swimming pool or brush up on your ornithological skills in the wildlife library.
For added convenience, the property also supplies a complimentary welcome basket on arrival with basic provisions such as tea, coffee and milk.

Just a short stroll from Naturequest Lodge you will find a delightful restaurant and bar called Keanes Oyster Bar where seafood is a speciality. As well as the food, the pub is a popular spot and is proud to be a traditional Irish family run establishment. You never know, you might partake in an impromptu singsong over a refreshing pint with the local people.
Needless to say, to discover the wealth of flora and fauna in the West of Clare, you need not go further than Naturequest Lodge where wildlife and bird watching tours are available.

Take a trip to Kilrush where you can hop on a boat and watch bottlenose dolphins cruising around the Shannon Estuary. If you want to stay on dry land but still experience the delights of underwater wildlife then a visit to Lahinch Seaworld is a must for you!
