Description
Both cottages on this working farm are finished to a high standard and follow a rural theme, with Moher flagstone floors and sugan chairs. Each cottage sleeps 4, with one double room and one twin. The double bedroom is en-suite, with electric shower, and there is also a separate bathroom. Downstairs there is a large open-plan living room and kitchen. The kitchen includes dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, oven & hob, fridge and microwave. There is an open fire and colour T.V. in the living room.
Oil-fired central heating is included in the cost, and fuel is provided for the open fire. Bed linen and towels are also included. Guests are welcome to enjoy a stroll along the river bank or up a hill on the farm called the Dunain, which affords spectacular views of the lake. Angling, golf, horse riding and a swimming pool are available nearby. An area renowned for its fishing, Corofin is central to the River Fergus system. The river and lake offer good brown trout fishing as well as large pike. The location is also perfect as a touring base for the many attractions of North Clare with the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Aliwee Caves, Lahinch Beach & Golf Course among the highlights within easy reach.
