Probably the town’s leading Indian Restaurant with both a stylish interior and an excellent take-away service. Its Table d’Hote menus, including a Vegetarian Dinner, are very good value. it’s extensive menu features a range of specialities that include the delicious Lamb Shahi Pasanda, the scrumptious Buttered Chicken and the irresistible Tandoori Jumbo Prawn Masala. The house speciality, from south-west India, is the Murgi Makanwala: half a spring chicken stuffed with diced lamb and cooked in a yoghurt and brandy sauce. If that’s not enough they promise "if there’s a dish you would like, and it’s not on the menu, our chefs will be happy to prepare it for you". Definitely worth a visit.
