The Merriman festival at Cannys Bar and marquee in Killanena is on the Bank Holiday Weekend in August every year. We have had in the past Martin Hayes, Tulla Ceili Band, Ronnie Drew, Aslan, The Sawdoctors and this years attraction being Picture House and Big Generator not to be missed....

CHORD: Ennis International Music Festival, the town’s newest event will take place over St Patrick’s Weekend. It comprises a fantastic music programme, complemented by street events. The festival will feature a series of guitar workshops and there will be a series late night concerts ....

In Ennis the celebrations go on the whole weekend. The Ennis Weekend festival specialises in being a great venue for the kids to really get to know what Saint Patricks Day is all about. The Glor Irish Music Centre surpasses themselves every year and this year will be no different. Of course there will be plenty to do for the adults as well so there is craic to be had by all....

This is definitely the place to be if you are a budding interest in writing. There are many workshops and discussion groups to help hone your ability and gain inspiration in the different writing styles open to you. Any type of writing, be they poetry, fact or fiction, is welcome here as are all age groups.
