Drom na Con is a charming, 4 star self catering accommodation located on a large site in a residentail suburb on the outskirts of Ennis town in County Clare. It has been lovingly restored whilst still managing to retain the buildings essential character of days gone by. It provides a comfortable and timeless retreat for a holiday or short break and a perfect base for touring the west of Ireland. 

The house is pleasantly furnished and decorated throughout with all your comforts in mind. It has four bedrooms that can sleep up to seven people.  There is a stone wall with gates in front and a large sunny secluded garden with seating at the rear and ample parking on the grounds.

From Ennis town, take the N68 and continure for .08km (half mile).  You will see Drom na Con on your left.  It as as in hte picture, painted cream with grey trim with a stone wall and gates in front.  The house is directly opposite a green area.  Detailed directions will be provided to you upon booking.
Twin Room
There are four spacious bedrooms.  On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one double ensuite and one single bedroom, loacted beside the family bathroom.  Both bedrooms have bedside tables with reading lamps, dressing talbes with mirrors and large waredrobes with full lenght mirroros.

There are two more bedrooms upstairs, one twin and one double.  These are located with side of the upstairs bathroom.  Both bedrooms have spacious walk in waredrobes, bedside tables with lamps and dressing tables. 

All bedroom floors are carpeted.  Hair dryer and drop side cot also available.
Sitting Room
Sitting Room - In the luxury of the sitting room guests can relax and enjoy the cosy open fire while watching the flat screen TV with Satellite channels, there is also a DVD player.

Kitchen - The pine kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, cooker, large fridge and microwave, you can comfortable seat up to 8 adults here also.

Dining Room - The elegantly furnished Dining Room can also seat up to 8 adults.  From here you have great views of the garden or one can watch TV while you dine.

Laundry/Utility Room - This spacious room houses the washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board and also facilites for a delicate hand wash.  You will also find the vacum cleaner and cleaning essentials here.

Bed linen and towels provided.  Oil Central Heating and Electricity extra, at cost price.

Ennis is a picturesque town with quiet a few different shops, excellent restaurants and lively traditional Irish pubs, all within walking distance of Drom na Con.  Within 3 minutes to your left is a well stocked family owned local shop and bakery, very popular for their quality breads.

Places to visit within walking distance include Clare Museum, O’Connell Square, Ennis town, Glor music centre, indoor swimming pool, ten pin bowling, excellent shops, restaurants and fast food outlets.

There are several interesting guided walks of the town available most days starting from the Tourist Office.

Within 15 minutes – One can enjoy the beautiful landscape on the way to the renowned Dysert O’Dea Castle and Archaeology Centre, the Round Tower and High Cross.

Continue on to visit the work famous Burren and on your way drop into the Corofin and visit the Clare Heritage Centre and Museum.  The Genealogical Centre may enable you to trace your ancestry.  The picturesque area around Corofin and Lake Inchiquin has been referred to as the ‘Killarney of Clare’.

Within 40 minutes – Lahinch Beach, enjoy the exhilarating sport of surfing, Sea World, Aquarium, Leisure Centre, Swimming Pool, Sauna, Gym, Play Zone, Golf Course and Kilfenora Burren Interpretative Centre.

Over 30 minutes – The Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Cave, Pollnabrone Dolmen and the spectacular scenery of North Clare.  Cragganowen, an interpretation of pre-historic Ireland and a recreation of Celtic Ireland, Bunratty Castle, Knappogue Castle, Quin Abbey and the Hunt Museum.  Horse riding trips also available.  Day trips of the Aran Island and Dublin can be arranged.
