Description
Description
Some of the rooms even enjoy a view of the beautiful Aille River. All en suite and include such conveniences as a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, wireless access to the internet and tea/coffee making facilities. There's a cot available if you are travelling with an infant or toddler. Guests also have their own TV room which gives you a chance to interact with the other guests at your leisure. The house also has ample private car parking and you can even use the private garden to get some fresh air.
Each morning of your stay you can be sure of a gourmet breakfast. There's an excellent menu to choose from. Later on, if you are feeling peckish, you won’t have to travel far for a delicious meal as you can simply pop down to Cullinans Restaurant and maybe try one of the seafood dishes which uses fish caught locally and delivered daily.
Cullinans Guesthouse has an excellent location for those wishing to explore the West of Ireland. Just down the street you can get a ferry to the Aran Islands which are geographically part of the Burren. Though many towns along the coast offer this trip, Doolin is the closest mainland harbour, so if your sea legs are a little shaky then this is the shortest route to the islands. While on the Aran Islands be sure to check out Dún Aengus, one of the most famous prehistory sites in Western Europe.
Heading south along the coast you will find the Cliffs of Moher, arguably the finest cliffs in the country and a little further on you'll come to Lahinch which is a very popular country town. Lahinch has a wonderful 18-hole links golf course as well as a magnificent beach which is very popular for a whole host of watersports.
If you head inland you can find the unique landscape of The Burren. Be sure to visit the Burren Museum first so you'll know what you are looking at when you do get out onto the rocks. Don’t forget the Poulnabrone Dolmen, and perhaps a trip to Lisdoonvarna which has an annual matchmaking festival. To the north you can find Galway and Connemara which has plenty to see and do of its own accord.
