Clare's Rock is a recently built 2 storey stone faced hostel, including private double and family rooms and also smaller dormitories.

There is a fully equipped self catering kitchen plus large common room for visitor use, laundry/drying room.   All rooms ensuite.

The hostel is situated in the small village of Carron in the heart of the Burren in Co. Clare, from here you can tour that all that Co. Clare has to offer. The hostel is best suited to people with private transport as there is no public transport available to the village.

Hostel is in the small village of Carron in heart of the Burren.From Corofinright at Leminagh Castle , right again after 1.5 miles 3 miles to Carron.

Please not there are no buses to Carron.  Shannon Airport is a 50 minute drive from Clare's Rock Hostel.
 

Rooms

Rooms are very clean and comfortable.  Double/Twin rooms have a double bed or 2 single beds.  Family rooms have a double bed and either 1 or 2 bunks.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE ROOMS IN THE HOSTEL COME WITH BUNK BEDS.

The hostel has a large fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, a spacious common/tv room and facilities for washing and drying clothes.

Internet access during office hours plus bike hire.
Guests are welcome to come onto our farm to see the unique farming practices of the Burren.

Please note this property has a 7 day cancellation policy , applicable from 18:00 7 days prior to arrival.

Local Area
When in the area visit the Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee caves, Caherconnell stone fort, The Burren Perfumery, and of course Poulnabrone Dolmen are a must.

There are many churches, castles, stone forts, cairns, Turloughs, limestone pavements and even an impressive round tower at Kilmacduagh within easy access of the public road.

For the sports minded there is golf, pitch and put, surfing and kayaking and fishing are all less than 30 minutes drive away. The newly opened Michael Cusack centre is only 2 kms away. Cusack founded the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) in 1884 and during the summer months football and hurling matches can be seen locally.
