Killinaboy
Corofin, Clare
Killinaboy is an early monastic site named after St. Inghean Bhaoth. It has the remains of a church of the 11th or 12th century, over the south door, a Sheila-na-gig, female figure with no ascertainable ecclesiastical significance. On the outside of the west gable is the design of a two bar cross in the masonry. There is also the base of a round tower.

A short distance away on the bank of the River Fergus is an ivy-clad turret and bawn, known as De Clare's House.

Doolin Cave
Doolin, Clare
Doolin Cave, also known as 'Poll an Ionain', is located in the Burren region of County Clare. Discovered in 1952 it consists of about 6 miles (roughly 10.5km) of passage. The main feature of the cave is 'The Great Stalactite'. This measures almost 7 metres in length making it one of the largest free hanging stalactites in the world....

Poulawack
Caherconnell, Clare
Some 4 km north-east on the road to Caherconnell a large cairn can be seen, about 0.5 km from the road, on the right. The Poulawack cairn was excavated by Harvard archaeologists in 1934. They uncovered a cemetery, with the remains of eighteen people, some bronze age potsherds and a few primitive instruments. The bodies were laid in what are called cist graves and covered with stones to a depth of over 3 m. The mound is about 20 m in diameter and contained by a low wall....
