Doolin Cave, also known as 'Poll an Ionain', is located in the Burren region of County Clare. Discovered in 1952 it consists of about 6 miles (roughly 10.5km) of passage. Some 4 km north-east on the road to Caherconnell a large cairn can be seen, about 0.5 km from the road, on the right. The Poulawack cairn was excavated by Harvard archaeologists in 1934.
