Quaint and quiet.....simply outstanding. It is so different to the usual run of hotels...most are just bed garages. We brought my son and his partner and we all loved it there. Sitting in front of the fire at night chatting to the owner was delightful....and his dauther-in-law Cecelia could speak fluent Irish ...to my husband's joy. We'll go back there again without a doubt!
service and atmosphere was amazing.
We really liked this hotel. The view is spectacular, the staff is very nice, helpful and knowledgable, the restaurant is excellent. My wife found the ambience so poetic she expressed the wish that we were staying for a week.
Meals at the hotel (dinner and breakfast) were very good.
I would not say it is a castle, yes, there is a castle ruins on the property but you can not go in. It is a hotel with 40-50 year old rooms. Nothing exciting.
