The hotel was fine though the rooms dated, but in terms of the hotel restaurant, bar, and the pubs restaurant's in general I have never in all my years come across a country that was more expensive to eat and drink in. Myself and my partner spent the weekend in central london in a 4 star hotel. we ate out and drank for half the cost of Ireland. Love the country, hate the prices, will never go again.

it was clean and friendly the water pipes banged probably air in the system. the fir map for 224 had the fire map from another room

Room in much need of update and repair. Was given a very basic room but i think that is because we got it at a cheap rate. Receptionist very unfriendly and could show a smile now and again!!

I was surprised at what a large 'Travel Lodge' type place it was - had a more homey B&B feel from the online marketing material.... We enjoyed our stay, during some pretty bad weather (sleet, freezing, rain) and harsh road conditions. I appreciated the major road location of Auburn Lodge. One thing I'd suggest is an improvement in the food... pretty watery vegetables and tough, tough, tough meat... AWFUL chowder, but some good soup.
