The Park Hotel Virginia is located in the picturesque town of Virginia in County Cavan. This 18th century country estate was formally the summer residence of the Marquis of Headfort (1750 - 1939) and offers our guests 'old warm charm'. The Park Hotel rests in its own private 100 acre estate, which has stunning views of Lough Ramor. On the grounds of the estate we grow our own vegetables and herbs which we use in our kitchens.

Driving Directions, From Dublin and South - Follow the N3 through Navan, through Kells and on towards Cavan - As you enter the village of Virginia take the first left turn (signposted R195 Drummoney) - Hotel driveway approx 500m on left hand side - Journey time approx 1 hour
Driving Directions, From Belfast and Dundalk - Take the N52 to Kells - Turn righ at Carrick Street onto the N3 - On entering Virginia village take the first left turn (signposted R195 Drummoney) - Hotel driveway approx 500m on your left - Journey time from Dundalk approx 50 minutes
In Virginia village follow the R194 - Ballyjamesduff to Granard Road. The entrance to the hotel is located 500 metres on the left side.
Dublin City is 80km, 1 hour 30 minutes travel time. Dublin Airport is 95km, 1 hour 30 minutes travel time. Cavan Town is 30km
Offering, 27 guest bedrooms, some of which have lake views. We also offer self catering cottages which are more suitable to families and can accommodate between 4 to 6 people. The Marquis Room is open for dinner each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, where possible we utilize the herbs, produce and fruit that are organically grown in the estate greenhouse, kitchen gardens and orchard. Breakfast is served daily from 8am to 10am in the Marquis Room. The Huntsman Lounge offers a more casual dining experience and we offer a daily bar food menu. Our bar, the Huntsman Lodge is open throughout the week from 11am to 9pm offering bar and lunch menu. We have ample car parking available on site and complimentary wi-fi in our reception and lounge area.
We have 2 large function rooms which cater for weddings or large meetings. The Marchioness Room can cater for a maximum for 50 people. Our Taylour Room, can cater for groups up to 90 people.
The estate sprawls over 100 acres, it is situated on Lough Ramor, offering stunning views over the lake, and it features a 9 hole golf course, extensive walking trails and access to Lough Ramor for the fishing enthusiast, boat hire is available locally. Hotel Residents can avail of preferred rates in Virginia Club Golf Course for 9 Euro per round of golf.

The highlight of our stay at The Park Hotel was Johnjoe. He got us a meal before the restaurant was opened, he got us into our room early, he recommended the best sights and was an absolute delight. Johnjoe delivered a true Irish welcome.
