Tours available from May to Sept and after that by appointment only. The most recent addition to Canan's tourist attractions is the Lifeforce Watermill. Built in 1846, the mill is situated in the centre of Cavan town. Although a focal point in th elife of Cavan town for over a century, changes in farming and milling technology, led to it's closure in the 1950's.

Today, however following almost five years of careful restoration, the Lifeforce Watermill has been returned to it's former glory. All the original machinery has been restored and returned to use.

Upon arrival each visitor is invited to mix a loaf of brown bread using Lifeforce stoneground wholemeal flour, which is baked for while you go on the guided tour where you will see all the working of the mill.
