The Lake Avenue House is a newly constructed B&B located on a side road away from the traffic of the N3. The house is situated just outside the charming country village of Bawnboy, in County Cavan. For the angling enthusiast it has about 40 lakes within a 10km radius so you can see why Cavan is the angling capital of Ireland.
As you enter this family run premises you will find a very welcoming atmosphere and a beautifully decorated house. All the rooms are ensuite and they come in various sizes including two family rooms.

Each comes with tea/coffee making facilities and also has a TV. Some of the facilities available at the property include a garden and a car park as well as the fact that the house is fully centrally heated.
Lake Avenue House is perfect for those who love fishing. In addition to the dozens of lakes nearby there is actually one right on the doorstep - Templeport Lake. On your way to the house there is a good chance you will pass Saint Peter's Church, there has been a church here ever since the 12th century.
If fishing isn't your thing there's plenty to do including golf, walking and cycling. If you stop in Bawnboy perhaps you could visit the Bear Essentials showroom which is full of the hand-made bears, as created by Anke, and each one has a signed cert of authenticity. On the way to the house you could always stop off in Cavan town and take a visit to the Cavan County Museum.
Also located close by just over the border are the Marble Arch Caves, Enniskillen Castle and Florence Court House all of which are well worth checking out.
