Welcome to Erneside Townhouses - Maison de Vacances - Ferienhaus (Selbstverpflegung)

These townhouses are modern selfcatering 3 bedroom properties which are located in the thriving fishing town of Belturbet in County Cavan, only 100m from the River Erne.

The holiday rentals are ideal for a family break as they are family friendly within close proximity to playgrounds which the kids can enjoy. The properties are comfortably furnished throughout to create a home from home. You can experience an open fire in the living area where you can relax and unwind with a glass of wine in the evenings. Usually, a double, twin and single room in each house, although changes for individual requirements can be made by prior arrangements.

Larger groups of up to 12 people can hire 2 adjoining houses with interconnecting rear yard. Check availability first.
Angling, boating, forest park, golf, horseriding, sailing and tennis can all be enjoyed locally. Genealogy visitors are especially welcome and assistance is provided.

A "gillie" can be hired locally to assist with fishing skills, and to impart knowledge of fish locations.

Directions

Take N3 towards Cavan, north to Belturbet, property is beside Kilconny Bridge, and next to the old Corner Shop on the Ballyconnell Road.  Across the road from the entrance to Turbet Island. Access from Dublin City and Dublin Airport is now much faster with the new M3 Motorway, with two toll boths (1.30 Euro payable x 2).

Typical journey time from Dublin Airport to Belturbet is 90 minutes. Continental visitors arriving is Rosslare in 2011 have reported a shorter travel time to reach Belturbet, with the N11, M50 and M3, making just 3 roadways to encounter in a simple journey!

Boat

Description

Nearby Turbet Island is a historical and quiet peaceful walker friendly island on your doorstep. Erneside town houses are located along the N3 national primary road, which can experience busy traffic from early morning and this may not suit families with very young children. Whilst houses are self-catering, there is a wide choice of dining options locally, with cooked breakfast and full range of Cuisine de France croissants and breads, available from hot deli counter at Mace 50m from your holiday home! There are 16 bars in Belturbet and many have entertainment and live Traditional Music on different nights of the week. There is a choice of Irish, Indian, Italian or Chinese Restaurants within walking distance. Some provide a delivery service (pizzas etc.)

Each townhouse has three bedrooms which are bright and comfortable. Each house can accommodate five or six people and the room breakdown consists of one double bed and three single beds. A cot is available on request. Bed linen and towels are supplied free and the property is heated with electric central heating.

Typical House bed arrangements: Double Room with One Double bed; additional single bed available; Twin Room with 2 Single Beds and "Box Room" with One Single Bed.

All Bed Linen is supplied, and fitted on beds on the morning of your arrival, nicely ironed! 2 Pillows Per Person. Additional bedding available on request. Each bedroom has a wash-hand basin with hot and cold water, and a vanity mirror.

Bedrooms are upstairs on 1st Floor.
