Trad on the Prom

Billed as a "unique Irish experience", this year's Trad on the Prom kicked off on Tuesday May 6th at the Salthill Hotel and runs until September.

Now in its 3rd season, Trad on the Prom promises an evening of traditional Irish music, song and dance that you won't forget. Just to try to stop your self from jumping out of your seat as your evening steadily progresses through the very best of traditional Irish entertainment.

The show features the talents of fiddle player Máirín Fahy (the featured soloist with Riverdance), Cian Nolan (former lead in Lord of the Dance), Mary Mc Donagh, Tara and Celtic Legends. Adult cast best beware though! Keep a close eye on 2 stars of the future, Cathal and Fergal Keaney, who will no doubt give the adults a "good run for their money".

The singers include one of Ireland's leading songwriters, Marc Roberts, Sean Costelloe, 6 times winner of AIMS award for Best Voice, and Yvonne Mc Mahon, vocalist with the Chieftains for the past 8 years.

Also, Trad on the Prom is very proud to have its own band, which includes the musical talents of Gerard Fahy, Chris Kelly, Yvonne Fahy and Brendan Hayes, with additional guest musicians.

For bookings please contact Trad on the Prom direct, or alternatively a provisional booking can be made through their website.

Need a hotel for the night. Take a look at Galway Ireland hotels in the city.

Maybe you've been to a show already. If so let us know what you thought. We'd be delighted to hear from you.

Seeing the show was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland.  We will be sure to repeat the experience when we return next summer.  The dancers were unbelievably great and the music was superb.   As an added bonus, we got to speak with the cast.  Everyone was just lovely, even the ushers who were so helpful especially Eileen with her hilarious Irish sense of humor.          Richard and Josehine Powers   Vienna Virginia.
