Galway Sessions is a great opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talents. And this year the organisers are trying something different. Local and Scottish acts will feature at each event to explore the shared cultural heritage of both countries.

Artists performing include Juliet Turner, Eddie Reader, Dick Gaughan, Kinlochard Ceili Band and the home-grown talents of the Alan Kelly Band, Roisin Elsafty and the Tulla Ceili Band just to name but a few. Over 100 events will take place throughout the week at various venues including Taaffees, Tigh Coilis, the ‘piano bar’ in Tigh Neachtains, The Western, and Arus na nGael. All this and a bit of set dancing (Irish dancing) and you're guaranteed a good time! 

To be part of the merriment why not book your Galway accommodation? Our advice is to book well in advance as Galway get's really busy during the summer, especially at festival time.
