Temple Bar is located right in the heart of Dublin city, between O’Connell’s Street and Westmoreland Street, just south of the River Liffey. There'll be plenty of live concerts, pub sessions, a festival club as well as children’s events over this jam packed 5 day period.
The Temple Bar Trad Festival, now in it's 4th year, is a fantastic all round family event as well as a celebration of Irish music, dance and culture.
The cobblestones of Dublin's Cultural Quarter come alive to the sound of fiddles, tin-whistles, concert flutes, concertinas, piano accordions, button accordions, guitars, banjos, bodhrans, jigs, reels, and of course, great craic! Here you'll see some of the worlds best known masters of traditional Irish music as well as up and coming musicians playing their hearts out.
Venues for the festival include some of Temple Bar's best-known pubs and clubs. Why not take a musical adventure and participate in one of the many session trails and workshops as you wander from pub to pub.
There's something for all the family at the Temple Bar Trad Fest and the children are sure to be entertained with the many story telling sessions of times past and the wonderful children’s theatre, street entertainers and much more.
The festival also offers a special children’s programme at the children’s cultural centre, The Ark.
