GoIreland.com Photography Awards 2009 The GoIreland.com Photography Awards 2009 is in its 5th year. It is an international amateur photography competition which invites Irish holidaymakes and tourists to submit a photo which best epitomises the beauty of Ireland. This year's theme is 'Capture the Beauty of Ireland's villages, towns and cities'.

If you're a photo enthusiast or indeed if you think you may have a winner in your photo collection, read on and find out how to enter and what's in store if you win!

This year, we want you to capture a photo of an Irish village, town or city and showcase its beauty. It could feature people, a landscape, a quiet rural village or a busy city street. Maybe it's a particular aspect or something that stands out or maybe something else that strikes you.

This competition invites you to use your imagination and skill to capture the winning shot. It's open to Irish holidaymakers and visiting tourists and you can submit as many images as you like. Why not go through your holiday pics of Ireland – you may even have the winning photo there!

Once you have an image you feel best captures this year's theme just enter our competition.

The overall winning photo and 11 runners-up will become part of history by being reproduced in an original John Hinde calender.  The overall winning amateur photographer will receive an award winning Olympus E-620 digital camera.

The closing date this competition is Friday 16th of October 2009 (6pm CET), so grab your camera and get snapping now!
