Connemara is a region of County Galway, which claims to be "one of the last unspoilt areas in Ireland". It's famous for its diverse landscape of bogs, mountains, rivers, dramatic coastline, sandy beaches, green fields and wilderness. As well as offering a wealth of outdoor activities, Connemara also allows the visitor to step back in time with top attractions like Kylemore Abbey, Glengowla Silver and Lead Mine and Aughnanure Castle to name a few. You could also take a visit to Leenane – a little village in Connemara, which was the setting for John. B Keane's film 'The Field'.
