waterfront hall

On 17th January 1997, Belfast's magnificent Stg 32 million Waterfront Hall opened for business. It was five years in the design, planning and building, but the city can now take real pride in this splendid, glass fronted, circular pleasure dome, which, at night appears to float on the River Lagan on whose bank it stands. Facilities include a main auditorium, BT Studio, 16 meeting rooms, two bar areas and a restaurant.

It forms the centre piece of the Lanyon Place scheme being developed by Ewarts and Laganside and includes a Hilton International Hotel and BT's Regional headquarters and in the future will aim to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes. The Waterfront Hall symbolises excellence and enjoyment.
