PRONI identifies, preserves and makes available archives from the public and the private sectors for the enjoyment and information of everyone whether you are interested in family or local history, history in general or want to explore an historical event like the Famine or the Second World War. The archives include: church records, school registers, valuation books, emigrant letters, landed estate records, and microfilm copies of the 1901 census for Northern Ireland. Opening times: Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9.00a.m. to 4.45p.m. and Thursday from 10.00a.m. to 8.45p.m. Closed on Public Holidays. Closed from 26th November to 8th December, 2007.
