The Course is parkland. It has large trees and some very deep bunkers. It has a stream winding its way through which comes into play on several holes. It is a stern test for even the lowest of handicaps....

The club is close to Belfast International Airport with the course running along the shores of Lough Neagh, the biggest inland stretch of water in the British Isles. The existing course was laid out by Fred Hawtree in 1961, and the opening holes wind away from the clubhouse until the par 5 7th which goes downhill to the shoreline of the lake in the direction of Shane's Castle.

There are other good holes on the front nine before crossing the road to the secon...

Set in attractive parkland, the centrepiece is a beautiful lake some 25 acres in extent. This is stocked with trout and other sporting fish and comes very much into play on the back nine, which are reckoned to be more difficult that the front nine. Some of the holes have been compared with Augusta, where the greens are placed near the water's edge. Trees are also a feature and the setting is of great beauty.

Bar, meals, short practice game area, golf academy, floodlit driving ranges, putting greens, artificial ski slope and snooker. Best days for visitors are any day or after 14.30 on Saturdays. A great test for all handicaps....

Established 1890 The first five holes are parkland along the banks of the Margy and Carey rivers and bordering the ruins of a 12th-century friary. The Warren area is six holes of true links, and the inward seven are in adjacent upland with panoramic views inlcuding the Mull of Kintyre, Rathlin Island and Ballycastle Bay. The course demands accurate irons....
