Lough Ash lies to the north of B48 Plumbridge-Dunnamangh road and is entirely dependent on stocked trout. A number of quite large brown trout are stocked every season with a view to providing anglers with good catches. The season runs from 1 March to 20 October. There is a 4 fish bag limit and a 10 inch size limit. The western shore is dangerous and closed to anglers and the well served with stiles and footbridges and there is a car park nearby.
