Wexford Hotel Wins Overall Gulliver Ireland Award
The Gulliver Ireland Tourism Accommodation Awards 2008 winners were announced today 14th of May 2009 with the overall award won by the Ferrycarrig Hotel in Co. Wexford.
The Judging Panel selected the Wexford hotel for its exceptional online marketing performance through the Gulliver booking system and other online channels.
The awards, which are in their fifth year, recognise online marketing excellence carried out by hotel, guesthouse, B&B and self-catering properties around the country through their partnership with Gulliver Ireland.
All Gulliver Ireland properties were evaluated on the basis of their online sales management, which included criteria such as room availability, allocation, competitive pricing and property information.
Speaking at today's announcement, Dr Stewart Stephens, Managing Director of Gulliver Ireland, said, "This is a difficult time for the tourism industry. There were four awards categories in each of the seven tourism regions. An award was made to the best hotel, guesthouse, B&B and self-catering property in each region. A separate award was presented to the property with the best GoIreland.com enhanced listing.
